Note: Venue used to be Freiya's Indian restaurant. Changed owners in late 2006. Changed name to Ghazal in 2007. According to July 2007 of Ponsonby News, owners are Gary Singh and Doreen Prasad. Chefs are chefs Virender Singh and Birender Rawat. Ghazal offers "authentic North Indian cuisine".

  • Mark - Food was great, however - that Chicken Vindaloo I ordered was very much beef, and why were we charged for TWO vindaloos?
  • Worked out a little expensive ( $35 ) although some people ordered drinks was a factor. Main problem was food took a while to come out ( 20 minutes between first and last served). Okay otherwise but they won't make the top 5 unless they fix those problems.
